From April 21–23, Everett Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center (AMTEC) welcomed more than 400 high school students from across Snohomish County for the 2026 AMTEC Manufacturing Day Tour — the county’s only countywide manufacturing career exploration program.
Hosted at EvCC AMTEC, supported by Snohomish STEM, the three-day event introduced students to high-demand, high-wage career pathways in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and related industries through hands-on learning, employer engagement, and direct exposure to local training opportunities.
Special thanks to our 2026 Presenting Sponsors, the Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence and Impact Washington, whose support helped make this countywide career exploration experience possible for students across Snohomish County.
Throughout the event, students rotated through interactive presentations led by AMTEC faculty, local industry professionals, and current and former AMTEC students. Students explored AMTEC’s state-of-the-art training labs and learned about career pathways connected to:
- Welding
- Precision Machining
- Composites
- Engineering Tech Design
- Mechatronics
By hearing directly from employers and students already pursuing these pathways, participants gained a firsthand look at the skills, technologies, and training opportunities helping power Snohomish County’s advanced manufacturing sector.
In addition to exploring technical programs, students had the opportunity to connect with local employers and industry partners who shared insights into workplace skills, career readiness, and real-world applications of advanced manufacturing technologies.
Snohomish STEM was proud to partner with AMTEC this year to help sustain and strengthen this impactful program, which plays an important role in building awareness of local manufacturing careers and connecting students to future workforce opportunities.

Manufacturing Partners & Community Investment
The AMTEC Manufacturing Day Tour reflects strong regional collaboration between education, industry and workforce partners. Snohomish STEM, powered by Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC), plays a key role in connecting employers to students and expanding access to career-connected learning opportunities throughout the county.
“Programs like the AMTEC Manufacturing Day Tour are critical to building a strong, future-ready workforce in Snohomish County,” says Ray Stephanson, President & CEO of EASC. “By connecting students directly with local employers and training pathways, we’re helping ensure that our regional economy continues to grow with talent that is prepared, skilled and inspired to stay and work here.”
The 2026 program is supported by Presenting Sponsors, the Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence and Impact Washington, along with a growing group of industry sponsors and partners investing in the next generation of Snohomish County’s workforce.
“This program gives students a powerful, firsthand look at what modern manufacturing careers actually look like and how to get there,” says Alyssa Jackson, Director of the Snohomish STEM Network. “When students can see themselves in these roles and connect directly with local employers, it expands what they believe is possible for their future.”
